Poems of Ananya Bhattacharyya (India)
Ananya Bhattacharyya is a deeply passionate poet hailing from Assam, India, whose creative spirit is shaped by both academic depth and an intuitive sensitivity to the world around her. With a postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, specializing in Zoology, she carries a scientific awareness that subtly informs her poetic vision, allowing her to observe life with both precision and wonder.
Her connection to nature is not distant or ornamental but intimate and enduring, as if every changing season and every subtle movement in the natural world speaks directly to her inner landscape. Alongside this, music flows through her sensibility as a parallel language of emotion, shaping the rhythm and tone of her expression in gentle and evocative ways.
Reading remains one of her most cherished pursuits, not merely as a pastime but as a lifelong companionship, where books become trusted confidants and constant sources of inspiration. She finds meaning and strength within pages, drawing emotional depth from the written word.
At the core of her identity lies a simple yet powerful belief: to remain true to oneself in a world that often demands conformity. This principle anchors both her life and her poetry, guiding her voice with authenticity, sincerity, and quiet confidence.
Title: Winter Storm
Poetess: Ananya Bhattacharyya
Location: India 🇮🇳
Finally! the wait is over.
My heart is overwhelmed with excitement over and over,
seeing the surrounding snow cover.
A winter storm wiped the city last night.
I see everywhere
Snowfall is stealing the limelight.
Ugh! I am home-bound.
I struggle to go out.
Still I am relishing this frosty portrait from my home.
Earnestly feeling thrilled to witness such a wondrous winter storm.

Title: My Dignity is My Identity
Poetess: Ananya Bhattacharyya
Country: India 🇮🇳
My dignity is my identity,
always uncompromising
and always unwavering
like a timeless mountain.
My dignity persuades my inner self
to elevate my voice
in favour of reverence
as well as equity.
My dignity thwarts opulence
as well as supremacy
from leveraging over my existence.
My dignity elucidates myself
as a lady of grandeur.
Down on my luck,
misfortunes arise,
still my dignity
upholds my conscience.
My dignity enlivens my nobility,
always entitling me
as a dignified lady.

Title: Wondrous Winter
Poetess: Ananya Bhattacharyya
Location: Assam, India
On the arrival of my favourite season of the year,
I wish a happy winter to all my near and dear.
Jingle bells ring,
New years cling,
melodies of happiness we together sing.
Temperature is low,
nature is bestowed with snow,
our ecstasy continues to glow.
What a wondrous season of winter!
I see everywhere only joy and laughter.

In these poems, Ananya Bhattacharyya reveals a voice shaped by sensitivity, resilience, and an intimate kinship with both nature and the self. The outer landscape and inner conviction move in quiet harmony.
Her winter poems unfold like soft yet vivid canvases. Snow becomes more than a seasonal occurrence; it becomes an emotional awakening, transforming stillness into wonder and confinement into reflection. Even within a home-bound moment, she discovers renewal and quiet joy.
In contrast, her poem on dignity rises with strength and clarity. It presents identity not as something granted externally but as something deeply rooted within, fiercely protected and unwavering. Dignity becomes both shield and light, sustaining the spirit through adversity while reinforcing self-worth and equality.
Together, these works reflect a poet who balances softness with strength, wonder with wisdom, and reflection with universal resonance. Her love for books, music, and nature informs verses that are both comforting and empowering. Joy is found in the smallest seasonal shifts, while identity stands firm like an eternal mountain, grounded in truth.
