01 • Information We Collect

• Contact and identity information: name, email, phone number, mailing or delivery address, account username, and information you provide through forms.
• Order and transaction information: product or service name, amount, size or variant, delivery instructions, invoice/reference information, purchase history, and transaction status.
• Payment information: payment credentials are generally processed directly by providers such as PayPal or Payhip. KVI generally does not receive or store full payment-card numbers or your payment-provider password.
• Contributor and community content: submissions, comments, messages, author information, images, files, and other content you choose to provide.
• Technical and usage data: device/browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from network data, pages viewed, referring pages, security logs, and similar diagnostic or analytics information.
• Cookies and preferences: cookie choices, language or display preferences, and related identifiers described in the Cookie Policy.

02 • How We Use Information

• provide, operate, secure, and improve kvinc.org and KVI services;
• process orders, payments, delivery information, digital access, and customer support;
• respond to messages, submissions, privacy requests, and accessibility requests;
• publish and administer contributor content consistent with contributor permissions;
• send transactional communications and, when permitted, newsletters or marketing;
• detect fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems;
• maintain records, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

03 • Categories of Third Parties We May Disclose Information To

KVI may disclose information as reasonably necessary to service providers that support hosting, WordPress functionality, security, analytics, email delivery, forms, customer support, content distribution, payment processing, digital delivery, shipping, and related business operations.

Payment and commerce providers may include PayPal and Payhip where you choose those checkout methods. GoFundMe is a separate fundraising platform when you choose to visit or contribute through a KVI fundraising link. Embedded media, social networks, streaming services, and other third-party links may collect information under their own policies when you interact with them.

KVI may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, investigate fraud or security issues, protect rights or safety, complete a business transfer, or with your direction or consent.

04 • Sale, Targeted Advertising & Profiling

KVI does not sell personal information for monetary consideration as a general business practice. Where applicable law treats certain advertising, data sharing, or profiling practices as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising, KVI will provide notices and choices required by law. Available privacy choices are described on the Opt-Out Preferences page.

05 • Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to personal data, correction, deletion, a copy or portability of data, information about processing or disclosures, and opt-out rights relating to sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Some laws may also provide a right to appeal a denied privacy request.

To make a request, email info@kvinc.org or use the Contact page. KVI may need to verify your identity before completing a request and may deny or limit a request where permitted by law. Authorized-agent requests may require proof of authority.

06 • Communications & Cookie Choices

You can unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe method provided in the message or by contacting KVI. Transactional or service communications may still be sent when necessary to complete an order, respond to you, or administer an account.

Cookie and consent choices can be managed through available site controls and the Opt-Out Preferences page.

07 • Data Retention

KVI retains personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including order fulfillment, publication records, accounting, customer support, dispute resolution, security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and enforcement of agreements. Retention periods may differ by data type and legal requirement.

08 • Security

KVI uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the services provided. No website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or other highly sensitive payment credentials by ordinary email or comment.

09 • Children’s Privacy

kvinc.org is not directed to children under 13, and KVI does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site without appropriate parental consent where required. If KVI learns that such information was collected in circumstances that require deletion, KVI will take reasonable steps to remove it.

10 • External Services & International Processing

Some service providers may process information outside your state or country. Their privacy terms and legal obligations apply to their services. When you leave kvinc.org through an external link, KVI does not control the external site’s privacy practices.

11 • Changes to This Policy

KVI may update this Privacy Policy when laws, technology, service providers, or business practices change. The revised date at the top identifies the current version. Material notices will be provided where required by law.
