Copyright Policy

01 • Ownership

Original site copy, layouts, graphics, branding, logos, product presentation, KVI-created articles, music, visual works, publications, and other KVI-owned materials are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Contributor-created works remain owned by their respective creators unless a separate signed agreement expressly transfers ownership.

02 • Contributor Publication License

Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, a contributor who submits work for publication grants KVI Network Creations and Krafty Page ChronicleS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to format, edit for presentation or accessibility without changing the creator’s meaning, publish, display, reproduce, distribute, archive, and promote the submitted work in authorized digital, print, magazine, social, and marketing channels. The contributor retains the underlying copyright.

03 • Contributor Responsibilities

Contributors represent that they own the rights necessary to submit their work or have obtained permission for any third-party material included. Contributors should identify quotations, photographs, artwork, music, translations, or other material that requires attribution or permission.

04 • Permitted Use of Site Content

You may view and share links to publicly available KVI pages for personal, educational, or editorial reference. Brief quotation may be used when permitted by applicable law and accompanied by appropriate attribution and a link to the source.

You may not copy entire articles, poems, books, magazines, music, artwork, photographs, product designs, or substantial portions of protected works; remove creator credits; sell or license KVI or contributor content; create unauthorized derivative products; or use KVI branding to imply sponsorship or endorsement without written permission.

05 • Copyright Notice

Unless otherwise stated, KVI-owned materials may be marked © KVI Network Creations LLC, with the applicable year. Contributor works may carry the creator’s own copyright notice. The absence of a copyright notice does not mean a work is free to use.

06 • Trademarks & Brand Identifiers

KVI Network Creations, Krafty Page ChronicleS, KnightVision.Ink, logos, publication names, artwork identifiers, and other brand elements may be protected as trademarks, service marks, trade names, or source identifiers. Do not use them in a way that suggests affiliation, endorsement, or origin without authorization.

07 • Copyright Infringement Notice

If you believe content on kvinc.org infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, send a written notice to info@kvinc.org containing:

• your physical or electronic signature;
• identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
• identification and URL/location of the material you want reviewed or removed;
• your name and sufficient contact information;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
• a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

KVI may remove or restrict access to material while a credible claim is reviewed and may contact the contributor or account holder involved.

08 • Counter-Notice & Disputes

If your material was removed because of a copyright claim and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, contact KVI with the affected URL, your contact information, an explanation of the mistake, and any legally required statements or consent to jurisdiction applicable to a formal counter-notice. KVI may request additional information before restoring content.

09 • Permission Requests

For reprint, anthology, classroom packet, translation, licensing, commercial use, image reproduction, music use, or other permissions, contact info@kvinc.org and identify the work, intended use, format, audience, territory, and duration.
