The Day My Children Redefined My Purpose

Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.

My first day as a parent was the moment my children changed everything. Holding them, I felt a level of responsibility and purpose I had never known before. It wasn’t just about becoming a parent—it was about becoming their parent. Every emotion showed up at once: pride, fear, love, and an unshakable commitment to protect, guide, and provide.

That day forced an immediate shift in priorities. My decisions were no longer just mine; they were for my children and their future. Leadership became constant, patience became essential, and growth became non-negotiable. My children didn’t just give my life new meaning—they gave it direction, discipline, and a deeper understanding of what it truly means to show up every day.
