The KVI Question · Prompt #1

What armor are you still wearing that you no longer need?

Some habits begin as protection. Staying quiet. Being funny when you are hurt. Never asking for help. Acting like nothing bothers you. Controlling everything because chaos once controlled you.

The problem is that armor has terrible timing. It can save you in one season and then show up years later to a perfectly safe dinner wearing a helmet.

Your turn: What trait, defense, attitude, or coping habit once protected you—but now makes connection, growth, love, work, or peace harder?

Was it strength, pride, silence, independence, humor, anger, people-pleasing, perfectionism, distrust—or something harder to name?

And here is the deeper question: If you took that armor off, who would you be without it?

Answer the question

Be serious, funny, poetic, philosophical, brutally practical, or beautifully complicated. You can answer in one sentence or tell the whole story.
