How This Digital Edition Is Curated

Every contribution is assigned to the chapter where its central idea is strongest. A poem submitted in July may belong to April if it is fundamentally about awakening and creativity. A cultural essay may belong to May because it centers heritage and belonging. A piece about recovery may belong to June. A work centered on freedom, legacy, or self-determination may find its thematic home in July.

The calendar observances provide context; they do not override the meaning of the work. The writing, artwork, story, or music always comes first.

Thank you to every writer, poet, artist, photographer, musician, and storyteller whose work gives this issue its voice. Issue 3 is still being expanded. As additional submissions and web editions are published, they will be added to the appropriate chapter and connected with related work across the issue.
