They call me a brain teaser.
Puzzling I am.
Different to understand.
Never chasing after man.
My Enigmatic ways are truly remarkable
I am Unstoppable
Mysteriously mistaken for being weak
I run with the Lions.
And lead all the Sheep.
My pen tells it all
My venom’s the ink
A teaser they say?
A teaser I’m not.
Just make sure you’re ready,
To enter the Paradox.
You may get lost.
Or you may just find your way
Mysterious or not,
My Annointed pen will Slay.

“Enigma” hit home for me in a way I didn’t expect. It’s like the poem pulled words out of my own experiences and put them into a rhythm I didn’t even know I needed. The idea of being misunderstood yet standing strong in your own truth really resonates. I’ve always felt like there’s a part of me people don’t fully get, but this poem reminds me that it’s okay—that’s what makes me who I am. The line about running with lions and leading sheep gave me chills because it speaks to quiet strength and leadership without needing to prove anything to anyone. And the pen as venom? That’s powerful—words are my weapon too, and they’ve gotten me through battles no one even knows about. Thank you, Poetress Maddam X, for this reminder to embrace my complexities and keep slaying, one word at a time.
